AFTER CAREPOLICIES

First 8 Hours:
Avoid soaking in water, which may soften your natural nails and cause polish, gel or extensions to chip, peel or lift. Do not pick or peel your nails. Once stabilized, they will regain normal hardness.

Daily Care:
Wear gloves for household chores. Avoid prolonged exposure to oils, acids, and alkaline solvents to prevent lifting or peeling.

Manicure Lifespan:
Regular Polish: 3–5 days
Long-lasting Polish: 5–10 days
Color Gel & Powder Gel: 5-14 days
Gel-X & UV Gel: 18 days

Replace or remove your manicure within these timeframes. As nails grow, pressure points shift, weakening the structural strength. Improper force or impact may cause lifting or breakage, allowing air and moisture to seep in. This creates an ideal breeding ground for Pseudomonas bacteria (green nails), fungal infections, and other microbes that may lead to nail and skin issues.

Trimming & Removal:
Always remove polish before trimming nails. Cutting directly may cause micro-cracks, leading to bacterial growth and lifting.

Repairs & Maintenance:
If lifting or peeling occurs, visit the salon for professional removal or repair. Do not remove it yourself, as improper removal can thin and weaken your nail bed.

Free Repairs:
Damage within the expected wear period (not caused by improper care or external force) qualifies for free repairs. Contact us promptly.

Appointment Policy

Individual Appointments

To cancel or modify your appointment, you must notify us at least 12 hours in advance via phone or email: call us at 516-716-4008 or info@believerhands.com

If you fail to provide at least 12 hours' notice, 50% of the service fee will be charged as a cancellation fee.

Group Appointments (3 People & More)

Group appointments must be canceled or modified at least 24 hours in advance.

If you fail to provide at least 24 hours' notice for a group appointment cancellation, 50% of the service fee will be charged as a cancellation fee.

Late Arrival Policy

We offer a 15-minute grace period for appointments.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten the service duration.

If your late arrival affects subsequent appointments, we may need to reschedule your appointment and charge you the full service fee.

Service Modifications

If you need to modify the service you’ve booked, please notify us at least 12 hours in advance.

If you require gel removal, please make sure to mention it at the time of booking. Failure to do so may prevent us from completing the service on time, which could affect other clients' appointments.

No-Show Policy

If you fail to notify us and do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged 100% of the service fee.

If you accumulate two no-shows within a three-month period, we reserve the right to decline future service.

Aftercare Policy

We are committed to providing high-quality service. If you have any concerns regarding the service you received, we will provide aftercare in accordance with the following terms:

1. Nail Polish Services
We offer one complimentary adjustment or repair within 2 days of the service only.

2. Healthy Gel Polish Services
We offer one complimentary adjustment or repair within 5 days of the service only.

3. Artificial Nail Enhancements Services
We offer one complimentary adjustment or repair within 7 days of the service.
· For repairs between 7 and 14 days, if the damage is determined to be the result of a defect under normal circumstances, we offer repair services at a rate of $3 to $6 per nail, depending on the complexity of the repair.
· For services beyond 14 days, we will no longer provide repair services.If the damage is caused by abnormal circumstances or factors unrelated to the nail application process, we reserve the right to decline to provide repair services.

4. Exclusions from Free Aftercare
The following situations are not eligible for free aftercare services:
· Damage due to improper use, including intentional or accidental damage, excessive exposure to chemicals, wet or heat.
· Self-inflicted damage due to trimming, filing, or other modifications performed at home.
· Change of preference or dissatisfaction due to personal taste rather than service quality.

5. Aftercare Requirements
· All aftercare services must be booked at least 12 hours in advance.
· A proof of payment is required to receive aftercare service.
· We do not offer aftercare services for services performed at other salons.
· We do not provide cash refunds.

Refund Policy

· If artificial nail enhancement services experience lifting, peeling, or damage under normal use within 3 days of the service, we will provide a full refund and one complimentary redo.
· We do not accept refund requests for services received during a promotional discount or for gift card payments.
· All refunds will be processed to the card on file. If the refund does not appear after we have approved and processed it, the original transaction authorization may have been voided or is still being processed by your credit card company.
· Refunds may take between 5 to 10 business days depending on your credit card company.
